If you did correctly, during the copying extracted CK files, Windows will ask you "Are you sure you want to overwrite existing files". But, now it's time for a final 1. That shouldn't have any negative effects in terms of game stability it hasn't for me so far - it's essentially just as if you did the modding before the update, isn't it? I guess from now on i will only update skyrim when there will be also the same update for the creation kit; so think the only think we can do for know is just wait for the update or for someone to come with a solution for this problem. By now, I expected an unofficial patch to have been released repairing all those places where the rock's surfaces fail to intersect with the ground, and you can see that it ceeation hollow.
That one, as Kkt said is unstable without a kkit. However, you can still use the CK, but you should only activate Skyrim.

For this is a real big problem because i like modding a lot and like you i can't load the creation kit. Have no more crearion. When I go to creation kit, there is no option to expand the categories, ie there are no plus signs next to the words. It works ingame as well. Unless your changing vanilla objects, I see little reason to make that a requirement.
